Author, Naturalist, & Intercultural Communications Leader
Hello, I'm
Niki Ahrens, M.Ed.
Certified Intercultural Development Administrator

-
Master of Education Degree in Policy and Leadership Studies, University of Washington
-
Bachelor of Science Degree in Teaching, Minnesota State University
I have been teaching indoors and outdoors for 20 years and have authored 14 non-fiction books for children. After ten years in public schools, I wandered into nature education and became a UCCE certified California Naturalist, then an interpretive educator. My favorite native plant is a Matilija poppy and I am probably out birding in my San Diego, CA neighborhood with my family.
